Happy Friday Neswork Buddies!

I would like to ask that you visit a very special angel at my friend’s blog Ali.Lilly. It would be really kind if we could show her and her family some support.

Thank you,

Mama Hen

We have a fabulous blogger in the Nestwork! Leanne is a sweetheart and is the author of From Chaos Comes Happiness.  She is an excellent writer, an amazing mom and wife and is one of those bloggers you will immediately call “friend”. When I first came across Leanne’s blog I instantly added her to favorites. Go visit her and say hi, then come and tell the Nest how magnificent she is!

Then one door of happiness closes, another one opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us. – Helen Keller

Hello dear dear Nesters! I am SO honored to be here and featured at the home of our dearest Mama Hen, one of the greatest Mama’s of all! I must admit that when Mama Hen first contacted me about a feature in the Nestwork, my heart was immediately full of JOY for the opportunity to be a part of such a great community. Thank you, Mama Hen, for introducing me to so many of your friends. I’m thrilled to be here today!

My name is Leanne, and I am the story teller over at a little ol’ blog called “From Chaos Comes Happiness”. I started writing this blog a little over a year ago, shortly after seeing the movie Julie & Julia and feeling like I, too, had important things to write about (I know!! It’s so cliché, isn’t it?)  So, I sat down at my computer and started telling little stories about my life. 1 year and 310 posts later, and I haven’t run out of things to talk about yet! I am a wife, mom, daughter-in-law, sister and friend, just like many of you. I’m  married to a great guy name Phil (aka PG) and the mom to two wonderful little girls (Katie and Ella) who teach me most of my lessons in life. The goal of my blog is to share heartwarming stories that will inspire, make you smile, leave you looking at life in a different way, and appreciating it a whole lot more.

Throughout this experience of blogging, I found that I am a closet; writer, baker, photographer, therapist, scrapbook designer, comedian, motivational speaker, poet, dreamer, chef, artist, and stalker (yes, I stalk many blogs!!! Just can’t get enough of some of those amazing blogs out there!). I never knew that I had all of that in me . . . but that truly is what blogging has brought out. And I am so very grateful for any opportunity to share it with you. Thanks, again, Mama Hen. You are one of the tops in my book, and I appreciate you so very much! And for those of you who I haven’t met yet, please stop by today! I’d love to meet you!

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. – Eleanor Roosevelt

We have a fabulous blogger in the Nestwork who includes delicious recipes in her blog! Laura from The Gruneisen Family News is such a sweet blogger with an adorable family. When you visit her you will immediately add her to your list of super bloggy friends. Today she has a yummy recipe to share with the Nest. Go visit Laura and then come back and tell the Nestwork about how spectacular you think she is!

Hi everyone!  My name is Laura from The Gruneisen Family News, and I’m so excited and honored to be featured on the Nestwork this week!  I’m a CA transplant, living in New England with my wonderful husband and my 21 month old daughter, Georgia.  I’m a stay-at-home mom who loves cooking, photography, and of course, blogging about my little girl!  I originally started blogging as a way to keep our family and friends who lived so far away updated on my pregnancy and about Georgia’s life after she was born.  She’s still my main inspiration for my blog’s writing material, though I also love to blog about the tasty and healthy recipes I find.

Since realizing that our family was harboring some unhealthy habits, I began a quest to lose some weight, and to change our family’s way of eating.  This was easier said than done, and after trying quite a few bland diet dinners and mourning the loss of ever eating tasty food again, I decided to be an active participant in my food choices.  I had to be able to find meals I could serve to my family (who isn’t dieting) and yet, still be healthy enough for me to shed my extra weight.  I love posting the successes – I feel like it’s important for people to know that eating healthfully doesn’t have to mean boring, and that even if you’re not dieting, it’s still a tasty recipe to try out in your home.

I’ve been so lucky to find great support and encouragement in the bloggy world, meeting such wonderful people and getting to know them through their posts and comments.  I can’t wait to meet you too!  Thanks for stopping my blog!

Hey Neswork buddies! It is time to go visit your neighbor again! This time let’s visit our neighbor upstairs. Go visit your Nestwork buddy above you in the categories section (Artistic, Inspiring, Mom, Single Mom, etc).  If your blog is the first one for a particular section then go to the bottom of the list. Come back and tell the Nest what you love about your neighbor’s blog. Have fun!

Have a great day in the Nest!

Mama Hen

I am happy to feature Hannah from Our Happy Home in the Nestwork! She is a magnificent blogger who you will love to visit every day! Go check out her fabulous blog and come back and tell the Nest about how super she is! Definitely a blog to bookmark!

When MamaHen told me that she wanted to feature me this week on the Nestwork, I have to say that I was really honored and a bit intimidated. There have been so many amazing people featured so far on the Nestwork that it is hard not to compare yourself to them. But then I remembered why I started blogging in the first place and that was for fun and to document my family life, so I decided to push past my insecurities and just have fun with this! So here I go LOL.

For those of you who don’t know me my name is Hannah and I am married to a wonderful man and I am mother to two beautiful little boys. Myles who is 3 and Wyatt who is 20 months. I live in CA and I am a stay at home mommy. I always wanted to be a mother and I feel so blessed to be living my dream.

I started blogging as a way to document my life with my boys. I am really bad at writing things down in their baby books and I am not a scrap-booker LOL. So I finally decided that I needed to do something, then I read this quote:

“Life is all memory, except for the present moment that goes by you so quickly you hardly catch it going.”
Tennessee Williams
After reading this it dawned on me that I wanted to start enjoying the present more because it does go by so quickly. I knew that I really wanted to capture these moments so that my children would get to see not only their big events in life but also the day to day. The stuff that we normally over look and forget about. That is what got me motivated to really take on blogging and stick with it. And I have been loving it ever since!

Recently I saw an article about a mom who decided to start a nonprofit organization in her city that linked local families together for a food and letter exchange. Families who were in need of food and supplies were connected with families who were able to help out.  What a liked about this program was that it was on a personal level. The families wrote to one another and created friendships that would last a lifetime.

If you could make one monumental positive change while here on earth, what would it be?  Inspire the Nestwork by leaving a comment about this positive difference we can make.

Let’s make a difference!

Mama Hen

I am happy to introduce you to an amazing inspirational blogger, Eastlyn, from Wilborn-White News. Not only is she a sweet blogger, but she always takes the time to leave kind meaningful comments on every blog she visits. Her inspiration continues from blog to blog and I am happy to call her a blog friend. Go visit Eastlyn and see how super she is! Come back and comment in the Nest about how fantastic you think she is. Bloglove in the Nest!

Hello, blog friends, my name is Eastlyn and I am honored to be a featured “inspirational” blogger in the Nestwork. I started blogging around Spring of 2009 after entering the blogosphere to follow a friend’s story of a very difficult pregnancy. I’ve always fancied writing, and decided this would be a good outlet to keep that “journal” I never seem to get around to maintaining with paper and pen. Who knew what possibilities awaited me?! I only had three followers for the longest time. I was completely unaware of blog hops, memes, communities, giveaways, etc. until a friend of mine who started her blog a year after me went from three followers to about 60 in less than a month! A few months later I met Mama Hen and Little Chick, and I really learned just how huge the world of blogging can be. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE visiting new blogs, following different themes and adding my two cents whenever I can. It’s like the world’s greatest soap opera—only in addition to getting an ongoing glimpse of other peoples’ lives, I also get inspiration, helpful hints, great recipes and insight into living and loving life with all of its ups and downs.

I am wife to Michael for almost 15 years. Has it really been that long? Boy, am I behind on my scrapbooking! We have two children: a 14-year-old son and a 12-year-old daughter. One night some time ago, a “baby fairy” came in the middle of the night and took away my precious babies and left me big kids. I’m still trying to figure out just how and when that happened because I’m surely not old enough to have teenagers! Wasn’t I the one who was just walking the halls of that same high school where my son now attends, let’s see ::counts on fingers; pulls off shoes to include toes. Shoot-Still not enough!:: well nevermind how many years ago I seems as if it wasn’t all that long ago, and I guess that’s what counts! We have a spoiled rotten, skittish dog named Missy (black lab and pit mix, we think) and a couple of fish.

I am the middle child in a family of four ( I claim the middle because I have one older brother and a younger brother and younger sister who are twins). My parents live less than two miles from me, and I like it that way. We see each other often. All my siblings are nearby in the same city as well. One big happy family! A couple more things about me: I love VeggieTales even if my kids have outgrown them. I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Honduras, Central America back in the early 90’s. I strongly dislike wet salad. My $3.00 salad spinner from Wal-Mart is one of my favorite kitchen gadgets. Please stop by Wilborn-White News for a visit. I’ll do my best to make you feel inspired in the Nest!

We have a fabulous recipe blogger in the Nestwork! Sommer has recipes that will inspire you to put your apron on. I first saw her blog, A Mama with Flavor, a few months ago. I knew her blog would be one to save in favorites! Go visit Sommer and see how delicious her blog is. Then come back and comment in the Nestwork about how amazing you think she is!

Hello everyone! My name is Sommer and my blog is called a MamaWithFlavor! I currently reside in Germany with my husband and our dear 3 children. A good friend recommended that I blog about my healthy recipes and funny stories about my children, so I gave it a go and now I am obsessed! I am also obsessed with cooking. I started cooking exactly 3 years ago after my husband purchased a Betty Crocker cookbook for me. I am not sure if it was some kind of hint for me to get my butt in the kitchen, but what ever it was, I am happy he did it because cooking is a big passion of mine and I love to share my food with friends and family now all the time. Now that I  blog, I am able share my recipes with even more people, and be inspired by the masses, also. As much as I love TV Chefs, and glossy cookbooks I am the hugest fan of the home cook. And not just home cooks, but mothers like me! I am so honored to be featured, and I hope to get to know my fellow Nestworkers or is that Nestworkees, whatever we’re called, I look forward to getting know you all! Have a lovely day! And thank you again, Mama Hen for featuring me and recommending this great network! Tschuess!

Hello super bloggers in the Nestwork! I thought it would be nice to start off the week by doing something kind for someone else. So go out and conscientiously do something kind for someone. It can be the smallest of kind acts like flashing a huge smile towards someone or a really big act (send a card, give a surprise gift, bake something, call a friend you haven’t in a long time, etc.) Come back and tell the Nest what you did, how they reacted and how you feel. There can never be enough kindness shown towards others.

Have a great week!
